•Initial Consultation: Discuss scope of the work, expectations and the working relationship which is very important.

•Agreement: If your expectations and my service offerings are a good match then we can agree to do business.

•Bed Design: The shapes of the beds will be ‘sketched’ in the existing lawn for customer approval. Irrigation pipe and edging can be added at this point.

•Bed Prep: First, the turf is removed and the soil is turned to a depth of 6-8 inches. Then 2-3 inches of sand and compost is added and tilled into the existing soil.

•Plant design and approval: This is a complex step and requires customer involvement. Schematics of the plan are provided and approved. Container size is determined at this point.

•Installation: The selected plants are now placed into the new beds. It is common to make minor changes to the design to accommodate spacing needs.

•Drip Irrigation: If drip irrigation was selected then it is installed at this point.

•Mulching: A layer of 1-2 inches of mulch is added to complete the job.
